Cable holder
A block 80 × 22 mm and 14 mm tall with rounded edges and four slots 7 mm wide, 5 mm above its base. It holds charging cables at the edge of a desk.
What it is good for
- Charging cables at the desk or bedside
- Tidying cables behind a TV or a monitor
- Holding pens or brushes upright
How to make it
- Open the template.
- Make the slots narrower or wider to fit your cables: a cable should click in, not fall out.
- Add or remove slots, or repeat one along the block.
- Download for your printer.
Printing it
- Stick it down with double-sided tape, or add screw holes.
- Prints without supports; the slots are open at the top.
Questions and answers
How wide should a slot be?
A little narrower than the cable: 0.3–0.5 mm less holds it without pinching.
Can it hold a thick power cable?
Make that slot wider and the block taller.
