Door sign
A sign 150 × 60 mm and 3 mm thick with rounded corners, raised letters 1.2 mm high and two holes for 4 mm countersunk screws. Change the words and it is ready to print.
What it is good for
- Office and classroom doors, meeting rooms, workshops
- House numbers and names on a letterbox
- Labels for shelves, cabinets and machines
How to make it
- Open the template and click the text on the bed; type your own.
- Pick a typeface and a letter size; the text stays on top of the sign wherever you move it.
- Change the sign's width and length if the text needs more room; the screw holes can be moved or removed.
- Choose your printer and download the project for its slicer.
Printing it
- With letters in another color on a printer with one filament, the project pauses for a filament change at the height where the letters start.
- PLA or PETG, 0.2 mm layers, 2 perimeters and 15 % infill are plenty; the sign prints flat, without supports.
Questions and answers
How big can the text be?
As big as the sign: letters are measured in millimetres from the lowest to the highest point of a line. Long texts can also run on two lines.
Can I glue it instead of screwing it?
Yes – select a screw hole and delete it. A flat back sticks well with double-sided tape.
