Name tags for a whole group
Write the names, one per line, and Shapetinker lays out a name tag for each on the bed. Long names are made smaller so they fit, and what does not fit on one bed goes into the next batch – each batch its own file.
What it is good for
- A class, a scout troop, a sports team
- Guests at a wedding or a party: place cards and favours
- Labels for a row of boxes, drawers or jars – works with any design that has a text
How to make it
- Open the template: a name tag with the text "Jana" and the list of names opens.
- Paste or type the names, one per line; you see how many fit on the bed and in how many batches.
- Lay them out. Each tag is a group of its own, so it can still be moved.
- Download batch 1, switch to the next one and download it too.
Printing it
- A 250 × 210 mm bed holds 21 of the 72 × 22 mm tags with 5 mm between them.
- Finish the pattern first (size, typeface, hole): every batch is made again from it.
Questions and answers
Can I use my own design instead of the tag?
Yes. Any design with a text works: open it, click "Many names" in the library and pick the text to replace.
What about very long names?
They are scaled down to fit the shape they stand on, keeping their proportions and 3 mm from its edges.
